1. The subject said: |
1) "There have been many disgusting statements made recently concerning allegations of improper conduct on my part." |
2) "I shall not in this statement respond to all the false allegations..." |
Please notice the following: |
a. In (1) the subject referred to allegations made "recently". He didn't make any reference to allegations made before "recently".
One should note that the allegations made by the alleged victim (the boy) were made quite a time ago.
b. In (2) the subject clearly didn't answer to all the allegations.
c. The missing possessive pronoun in (2) in regard to the statement = "this statement" instead of "my statement". |
2. The subject said: |
"I ask all of you to wait to hear the truth before you label or condemn me. Don't treat me like a criminal because I am innocent." |
Please notice the following: |
a. There is no need "to wait to hear the truth". The subject could use this opportunity to assert that he didn't do anything. But, he didn't do so.
b. "I am innocent" is not "I didn't do it." |
3. The subject said: |
"It was the most humiliating ordeal of my life, one that no person should ever have to suffer." |
Please notice that the subject labeled as "the most humiliating ordeal of my life" the body search and not the allegations. |
4. The subject said: |
"It brings tears to my eyes when I see any child who suffers." |
The subject used the word "child". |
Using the word "child" should bring us to check: |
a. If the speaker was abused in childhood. |
b. If the speaker knows that the child was abused. |
We should take into consideration that the sentence deals with "any child who suffers". |
5. The subject said: |
"But if I am guilty of anything..." |
The word "if" is a conditional "no". |
6. The subject said: |
"...it is of gaining sheer joy from seeing children with their innocent and smiling faces. It is of enjoying through them the childhood that I missed myself." |
One should notice that in these sentences the subject might be telling why he did what he did. |
7. The subject brought in the statement the accusation against him. However, the subject didn't deny this accusation. If the subject didn't deny we are not allowed to deny it for him. This is to say that this point alone should raise a major suspicion against the subject. |
8. Please refer to the last newsletter dealing with the language by La Toya Jackson, his sister. |
